I'm Back
Wow, has it already been a year since I've last posted! Yikes! Well I'm not gonna let that happen again, I've missed blogging so much and I've barely got this blog going, so I plan on getting up and running again with (cross our finger) a lot more regular posts! Including... Lots of great ideas to with your kids, great recipes, and crafts and much much more, I'm hoping to get more organized as well, if I'm brave enough I'll share how I do it, and what I've found that works for me and my family! Anyways, here's to a great blog!
If you have any suggestions of things your interested in seeing on my blog I'd love to hear your suggestions!

Father's Day Carnival Dessert

So i made these cupcakes for Father's Day, we had a Father's Day Carnival, so fun! Anyways but these would be great for a birthday party or just for fun!
Okay these are so cute and the kids loved them!
Ingredients:
Cake mix ( pick your fav.)
Icing ( homemade or store bought)
Food coloring
Marshmellows
Sprinkles (colorful)
Red Scribbles icing
Chocolate Sprinkles (for the eyes)
Toothpick ( to connect the marshmellow with the cupcake)

The key to making these is to make sure you give your cupcakes plenty of time to cool off, if you are in a bit of a time crunch then throw them in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes before decorating.

Fun Rice Crispie 'squares'?

This is the Finished Product!
Jayden Loved helping me make these, he loves helping out in the kitchen!

Ingredients Needed:

1 bag of small marshmellows
8 cups of Rice Crispy Squares
3Tblsp Butter/Margarine
White Chocolate discs
Cooking Spray
Scribbles, decorating icing

So you start by making your Rice Crispy treats as you normally would,
Place Butter in a big pot, and melt with marshmellows stirring frequently on med/low
Then once your marshmellows are melted remove from heat and stir in your Rice Cripies!

Spray your Muffin Pan with cooking spray and then fill with Rice Crispies, press on the top on them to make sure they are compact

Remove and place on a cookie sheet, (I put wax paper down so they wouldn't stick, but if you don't have wax paper or parchment paper then i'm sure its fine to spray your pan)
Melt White Chocolate Discs

Dip Rice Crispies in the melted white chocolate and place back onto the cookie sheets.
To speed up the hardening of the white chocolate just place them in the freezer for a minute

Now take out you scribblers and let your little ones go to town decorating these yummy treats!

Cupcakes!

I love making cupcakes, maybe its because i've been watching cupcake wars or cupcake girls, anyways this is my attempt at making a "fancy" cupcake. I didn't do anything special i just wanted to see if i could make them so that the icing would stay in the form i meant it to be, anyways, it did so off to my next cupcake adventure!
All i used for this cupcake was:
Devils Chocolate Cake Mix
Cream Cheese flavoured icing
Red Food coloring (Gel)
Chocolate Sprinkles

Breakfast Popsicles

Alright my very first post! Hurray!

Since summer is just around the corner i was trying to think of something other then "cereal" to feed my boys for breakfast, (now its not that i dont make them anything other then cereal for breakfast, they have pancakes, toast, etc.), but yet there favorite is still cereal. Wierd?
Now i'm sure lots of people do this but i just discovered it...

Ingredients:

Frozen fruit (you can do fresh as well)
Milk (or Juice?)
And Yogurt of any flavor

(I guess you could call it a frozen smoothy and it could Also be a healthy summer treat for the kids but on those smokin hot mornings it would make a tasty breakfast)

Blend till well ... blended (no chunks)
Then poor into your Popsicle holders and freeze!

And in the morning, your little ones can enjoy a very yummy popsicle for breakfast!
(Pics will come soon...)
